Does having just 2 monitors hooked up give you the same problem?Waiting on a reply from support. I guess my main issue with Presonus was that by the time they got back to you, you already got the fix from one of the mad scientists on Reddit..lol..we'll see how long it takes Fender on this one. I can't stop production because of a glitch, so I had to go back to 8.1 which works perfectly on my multi monitor rig. Found this on my travels through the web:
"According to discussions, the exact multi-monitor undocking issue you are experiencing with version 8.2 is a verified, logged bug with the Fender Studio development team. A support representative recently confirmed that it is a known issue being tracked for a future bug-fix patch, meaning users are actively choosing to stay on version 8.1 until a hotfix drops".

HiyaI use 3 monitors just fine in 8.2, also Windows 11. I upgraded from 7 (also with 3 monitors), but it has been solid all the way through. I have always found that you have to precisely adjust things like the console view to get it to "stick" then "attach" and "detach" the console a couple of times to be sure. My main screen is 37" 4K, the other two are 24" HD. All works. (On edit - this is all contrary to the feedback you received from support suggesting there is a bug, so I would be very curious to see how they resolve the "problem" I don't seem to be having)
IN my case, I have my console on my monitor 3, an HD (1080p) 24" touchscreen. If I engage the Maximize button on the console it fills that monitor exclusively. ( Just confirmed that is still the case in 8.2). I normally keep it reduced both vertically and horizontally so I keep a loudness meter height adjusted and pinned to its immediate right, and fill a fairly narrow empty space above it as needed with a macro tool bar. FWIW I have never figured out a way to reliably switch between maximized and size adjusted views in Fender SP or Presonus S1. Hope this helps - let me know if you'd like me to try something else. (Be away for a bit but will be back in the studio later today).Hiya
Sorry to bother asking you or @madFloyd , but can you try the following.
I notice you are sizing the window and "not using the maximise button" on the consul window. If you click the max button does the Consul fill all 3 screens?
I'm looking at Windows extended monitor use case.
I'm half way through rearranging my desk, otherwise I would have tried it out myself.
Kindest regards
I do something similar across my screens, it just crossed my mind as to a possible cause that @SPIKER_01 was hitting.IN my case, I have my console on my monitor 3, an HD (1080p) 24" touchscreen. I think so too - another possibility is (especially if OP is using different resolutions (as I am)) - It takes a couple of times for the destination display's native resolution to "stick" correctly. On first setup, when I display, then detach my console on my 4k screen, then drag it over to the HD screen, the individual channels are large and unusable. When I (click to) "attach" it (to the main screen dock), and re-"detach" it, Windows/FSP "knows" it then belongs on the HD screen I moved it to, and it is now correctly dimensioned (resolution-wise). Resizing from that point and a couple of attach/detach cycles lock it in and it is always at that location from that point on. I need to make sure no part of the console area extends over the display limits for the monitor I want it on (this is really important, or the next time I dock/undock it, it will be out of proportion or overlay on the wrong display). I think it all gets down to recognizing the need to make sure FSP "knows" (precisely) where you want the console to be. More voodoo than science it seems, but hey it all works (for me).I do something similar across my screens, it just crossed my mind as to a possible cause that @SPIKER_01 was hitting.
It could come down to any combination of H/Ware, Software, or some Settings somewhere not playing nice. Bit of a needle in a haystack methinks.
Lets hope Dev can sort it out.
Kindest regards, thank you.
Yes and sorta yes, Voodoo for sure.I think so too - another possibility is (especially if OP is using different resolutions (as I am)) - It takes a couple of times for the destination display's native resolution to "stick" correctly. Interesting. I have the same 3 monitors, or rather 2, (size wise). My main is a 36". I would suspect my graphics card if the same issues were present in Studio One 6 Pro, and Fender Studio 8.1. I detach the mix console by clicking the little diagonal arrow in the upper left of the mix console dock. It pops up detached, and I drag it to monitor 2 on my left. Once you do it the first time it just jumps over to monitor 2 when it's detached every time after. It's smaller than my screen, so I hit the maximize..the little square in the upper right of the undocked mix control to the left of the "X". Instead of it fitting the screen like it does in S6 Pro, and Fender Studio 8.1, it jumps right back to the main monitor, and blocks the screen, (instead of redocking). I even tried to manually scale it to size by grabbing the corner, and enlarging it. Then it stays, but only until I click something on the 3rd monitor or the main. I did what you did by docking and redocking. That works, but I get the same result every time when I try to maximize it to the monitor screen. I'm in the middle of a project and I can't justify spending a lot of time on this, but I want to get the upgrade, and I want it to work. I am using a plain jane NVidea GeForce Card myself (a GTX1650). It's up to date and I only use the "Studio" driver with no extra "stuff". You mention the Maximize button, and I think that is the root of the problem. I could never get maximize to work, unless I first set up the display manually, then clicking maximize works, (I think, as I never leave it that way). As I mentioned in my last post (way too wordily, sorry about that) I use a manual size adjustment. Where it can fall apart is if you have even a hair's width of the display hanging over on to an adjacent monitor. See if you can drag the tiniest bit of an edge from the adjacent monitor it tends to want to jump to and pull it onto the one you want to have the console on. It might be necessary to have a slight gap on the edge. Be sure the same is true on all 4 edges of the display, then attach it back to the main screen's dock, click detach. If it doesn't immediately go back to exactly where you wanted, repeat the exercise. After it seems to work consistently while attaching and detaching, save the project. I really think this is a limitation of Windows, as other DAW's I have used have tended to suffer much the same type of limitation, but once you understand how to set it up reliably, and trust that it works, it is really not a big deal to get it set up.Interesting. I have the GeForce GTX 1660. Pretty much the same. I also use the Studio drivers without anything else. My system works flawlessly on Studio One 6 Pro, and Fender Studio 8.1. If I have to start rescaling my monitors just for 8.2 it will mess with my Davinci program, and possibly my other DAW versions. I'm just going to sit on 8.1 until someone can definitively tell me how to make it work. Waiting on support with a ticket. It's the weekend, so hopefully they'll get back sometime next week. As for whether anything appears different between the versions, I don't believe so, except that it might be under the hood as a result of how Windows may have changed in recent updates. I have been using the same basic system of displays for several versions, (See my hardware description - it's an i9 system I built in early 2020, originally Windows 10, now 11.) So I believe as far back as S1 version 5. It has always worked the same basic way for me, as far as I remember.
Sorry again for the wordiness. But really hope it helps you out.
