Extracting Midi from Audio

I haven't used it much and only on polyphonic synths (with light drums) and kept the results unchanged. The extracted Midi notes of the new version are identical.

It's been recommended to try stem separation first for complex arrangements/songs.

I'm sure this can be done but I'm just too dumb to pick it up. I just wasted $140.00 on Melodyne Editor and it does what it's supposed to but the problem is that I'm using free flow tracks which I need to put into some kind of quantized form so I can synch piano and strings (EZ Keys and Session Strings Pro 2). I can't get anything to fall into a beat pattern so it sounds like a mess. Nobody's fault. I just can't pick up on tempo maps. It would be nice but I guess that's the way it is.

I probably made a mistake. I might have already tried the new version to see what has changed and deleted the old midi track.

I also tried it onto a new snippet and it picks up stuff I didn't really notice when listening. It might be over-sensitive or could be AI hallucination but merging/deleting notes is easier than adding missing notes.

You need to make a tempo map that aligns your bars with the free-time recording. It’s laborious but I found it doable in SO v7; FSP8 makes it harder but I believe it’s still possible.
