Export of Synthesizer V tracks incomplete

Hi all,

does anybody work with Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro? I use it as an ARA plugin via an Event FX on an empty audio event. Then tempo and signature are synced between SynthV and Studio One. This works great.

I added some tracks in Synthesizer V for vocal harmonies. Everything is fine. Playbacks words. But when I export the whole project or only the audio track with SynthV on it, only the main Synthesizer V track is rendered. The other tracks within the Synthesizer V arrrangement are not. Bounce Selection or Bounce to New Track don't work neither. I got only the main track of the Synthesizer V arrangement.

I made a video: http://jens-sieckmann.de/musik/SO7_SynthV_Export_1.mp4

Does anybode made the same experience? Any fix or workaround for this?

Thanks,
Jens

I use Synth V 2 Pro (and the first version as well), and I've had similar problems with using it as an ARA plugin (and I've seen plenty of other similar reports). I generally export the voices as audio stems from Synth V and import them into Studio One. If I want to edit a voice, I go back to the standalone instance of Synth V, complete the edit and re-export. It's not ideal, but it works.

Thanks. That's exactly the workflow I will apply.

I also use the standalone in preference to the ARA. It's only slightly more inconvenient.

I typically do it twice for a song. Once for a guide vocal, which allows me to finish the arrangement in S1 and again using that "final" version of the music to finesse the vocals and tweak the lyrics. It takes a few extra minutes to render stems but also helps clear the mind so you can focus on one aspect of the song.

I don't typically use the ARA version because it's kind of a pain. I use it as a regular VSTi which is less CPU intensive as well.

Do yo mean the standalone without any connection to the DAW or the instrument plugin version (https://sv2.docs.dreamtonics.com/en/inst-plugin)? AFAIK the instrument plugin doesn't sync tempo.

I also noticed that the tracks rendered out of SynthV do not match 100% the playback. But I have to doublecheck that.

Yeah, I mean the completely standalone app. I expert the S1 songs as one or more stems then pull them into Synth V to work on the vocal. If I have a MIDI vocal melody "guide" in S1 I export that as MIDI too. Once done I export only the vocals back to S1 and continue the song.

I've never had any tempo problems but I am always careful to set the tempo in the empty Synth V project before I pull in any files.
