expand layers

Hi guys,

I've watched many tutorials where everyone clicks on their audio track and displays all the layers one below the other. The "expand layers" option is missing for me, and I'm stumped. The "expand layers" and "expand layers" functions simply don't exist. Why?

I have also activated expanding by default, but nothing expands.

I found this, but don´t understand, why it doesn´t expand dy default.

Hit shift option r or click the little arrow pointing up in the bottom toolbar .. you will see takes to layers on the left side.. it’s also in the view menu
