Solved Edit Name/Rename track command?

Wes Griffin

New member
Is there a command I'm missing to assign a keyboard shortcut to rename or edit the name of a track? I'd like to duplicate a track (with my keyboard shortcut) and then immediately change the duplicated track's name - ideally with another shortcut.

I've pored over the keyboard shortcut list and tried a few of the rename options under Track but can't find one that does what I want.

Thanks,
Wes

Try "rename channel"

Yes, "Rename Channel" is the closest you can get. Obviously, it will work only if the track has a channel and track/channel have a 1:1 relationship. So in most cases, this should work.

There's also something in the works (new add-on) that will help with batch renaming and prefixing tracks/channel:)

Oh, that´s good news Lukas! I would also be happy about a "rename tracks after events" function, for fast renaming tracks after events when importing files into templates.
