Crash with step record in editor

Can anyone confirm this?

1. Open a blank session
2. create a track with MaiTai (used that to not use any third party plugin)
3. record some notes using a MIDI-Keyboard
4. open the event in the editor
5. delete some notes
6. set a loop range over the part where the notes were deleted
7. enable step record and set the note length
8. input some chords using a MIDI-Keyboard
9. disable step record
10. play another chord on your MIDI-Keyboard
-> Studio Pro quits

That happened with a "full" session ans also with - like described- in a blank session using the default Fender template. And yes - a restart didn't help either ;-)

Studio Pro 8.1.0, MacOS 26.5.2, MacMini M1

Not sure it says much as I'm on Windows, but I tried this since I was curious as I don't use step record. Using Mai Tai (and the Poly -1984 preset in case it makes any difference), I followed your 10 steps and didn't have any trouble. Which suggests it's either a Mac only issue or there is something else unrelated to your listed procedure going on to cause the issue you are seeing. Mine was a new single track (Mai Tai only) session.. Hope a mac user is able to try it out. Good luck.

@AAV Thanks for testing. I think the important part is that it crashes when I quit step record and play another note-event with my keyboard.
It happened also with other VST-Instruments, but I wanted to be sure, that it's not related to any other plugin or anything in my session, so I started also with a blank session with nothing but this one MaiTai track in it.

Understood - I didn't see this behaviour at all (but again, on a PC/Windows 11).

Confirmation ? that all is well with Win11. Presence and Mai Tai both function as expected
