Control Plus - Free advanced Mackie Control device template (Editor)

Hold on..
just reread the instructions (Doh!) yes after selecting the function by pressing Undo and Display
i can now toggle fader select on/off and it works..YAY.
But only updates in console view not the Arranger (is this right or am i doing something wrong again?)
However getting the Xtouch Extender to works is another story..
I an get most things working by using anther instance of Plus but
scriible strip on XTEND not working and also fader select not working,,
prob coz not dedicated Xtender file like the Control Plus

Hi, I don't have an extender, I assume it's handled as a seperate device? I will look into it but I won't promise anything. Without the device it's not managable to test.

Are your mixer and arranger tracks linked?

Im on Studio one 7...tried that setting doesnt work unfortunately.

Also another thing i noticed is that in Sonar touching fader on X touch would bring the corresponding
channel into view on both arranger and console view..

ok thanks for looking into this..
firstly the fader select only works for the console view and not the arranger even with that setting ticked
secondly if the channel is out of view it is not bought into view (thats how Sonar does it)
and the extender works but not fader touch or scribble strip ( just remains with descriptions it start up does not update as i move channels always remains as when i first started

I just gave it a test run and the only case where it doesn't select a track in the arranger is when it's inside a collapsed folder. Which is my desired behaviour. To reach the track in the arranger you can select it with the fader and press shift + scrub show the folder content.
The second scenario I can't reproduce: If I select a track outside the current 8 faders visible faders, the controller jumps to the right page and selects the track, no matter if I do it in the mixer or the arranger. So I would say it's either a setting on your side or something the x-touch handles different than the MCU.

yeah cant get it to work for me on either of those issues.
I'll keep trying but im not hopeful...
the X Touch is built on the Mackie MCU that's why its the device you choose in Studio One
so a bit confusing....
the other thing i need working is the x tender..
so for now i just have to keep using the hacked inadequate
script I already have ....shame got so close ...

its when i select a channel by touching a fader on the X TOUCH (contoller) that the
selected ch is not instantly visible on the DAW ..i have to scroll to bring it into view.
PPS.. i wonder if the relevant bits of code could be hacked into my current working (cept for the things we have been talking about)

Very Pleased to report that...
IT WORKS!!!
the X touch and Xtender work together..

turns green and channel is selected works fine on main X touch..

nice, I will look into the selection problems.
when everything works I will add the extender to the download package but since
it doesn't have any free "mappable" buttons it will not have editor features.
Maybe it will support midi mode later, but this was already very compliated on the main unit. We will see

to avoid misunderstandings: atm I don't have plans to make the buttons on the extender configurable (unless its in plugin mode - that might become a festure). they will keep the intended mixer functions just like the mixer section on the main unit.
for the focus are you using control link to map your functions?
that way you will always control what's in focus.
How I use it:
I use plugin pages 1-3 for control link (never needed more so far)
and page 8 to control certain - always fixed - values, for example cue out volumes and talkback output on certain channels.
since the pages in plugin mode are "looping" page 1 + prev channel = page 8. it's as fast reachable as page 2
