Building A DAW in C#?

There is one feature in particular that will hit every DAW feature request list when it becomes public, so I'm not going to talk about it here, but I'm sure other DAWs will copy it eventually. Suffice to say, it's one of those things that when you see it you'lll immediately think ... "Duh, every daw should have that."

I can add you to the Alpha test group if you want. It will be starting later this week. If so, shoot me your email address via PM.

Ah, with my post dropping right after your Alpha announcement...๐Ÿ˜‰ You seem to have blocked PM so defaulting to this way to reply: Thank you for the invitation but I'd be lurking rather than providing feedback, so not much use for helping you develop your DAW. Still, my techie brain is always interested in alternative ways to solve the same problems. Choosing a direction to address one problem can make other problems harder to tackle, or easier. Hence my question:)

Oh sorry, I'd forgotten that I set that long ago. I've removed that PM block. :) Feel free to lurk when it gets going.

Alpha testing went well, and I'm about to start the beta phase. Lots of new features added including video support. If anyone here is interested in an invite to beta testing on Discord, shoot me a PM with your email address. This will be my last update to this thread.

I've mostly just been recording tracks and modiying workflow where things are annoying.

Hey Gray Wolf, Recording tracks, and getting a feel for how the program performs is really going to be useful, and telling towards how others handle and test your DAW. You've come a long way, in such a short time. With articulations, no less. Outstanding. I cant alpha test as I have too many balls in the air. Simply providing a note of encouragement. ๐Ÿ‘ Digging the interactive seating chart.

Thank you lokefly. (y) And a big thanks to Lukas โค๏ธ for creating a place like this where people can share ideas with little to no trolling.

It's been an eye-opening experience, the process. Essentially, you become product manager and Claude becomes your development team. It's insane what you can accomplish in very little time, for very little cost.

Anyway, beta testing starts today for anyone interested. https://studioonescripts.github.io/Cuestra/
