Hi John,
I liked the open and honest vibe of the words and vocals. It reminds me of a Randy Newman type song. 👍

I was wondering if the chorus might change up a little from the verse, but that's only a thought and not a critique. I enjoyed "Better than Me", and I'm sure that certain somebody you're speaking on, will enjoy it even more.
God bless,
James

I'm very much into building a song over its length, and based on what I'm hearing, you are too :) If I was your producer, I'd take it further and suggest using hand percussion until the part that starts with "I used to think I knew it all," where you could have a pause and then bring in the drums. Adding drums would kick the song up another level at a strategic point, lyrically speaking. Just a thought...

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions, Craig.

Cool, and to be clear - production suggestions aren't criticisms, but alternative ways of looking at songs. Remember, I've spent a lot of time doing production of other artists, and being produced myself. Production suggestions are free consulting :) but ultimately, they're only of value if they're congruent with the artist's vision.

I understand. Your opinions are always welcome.
