Be aware of these Plugin Delay Compensation Fails

User FMN-Music has been more on top of this issue. One pretty weird behaviour he noticed is turning the plugins in the bus that receives the sidechain signal off and then on makes at least some of the PDC problems go away. Maybe try that before bouncing. I've reported the issue twice to support, I think @FMN-Music has done it too and I think I read somewhere that the dev team is aware and working on it but it's taking quite a while. These are pretty serious bugs in a DAW IMHO...

Thanks! It seems to work to bounce all the source channels feeding the side chain busses so that there are no plugins on them. However since you always want add and exchange/tweak plugins during mixing this is not really a viable solution in day-to-day work.

I agree. This one is just as urgent as the "automation missing during export" bug in 8.0.0. and deserves a hot fix as well.

Glad I found this thread. I thought sure;y I'm not the only one having this problem. Thanks to FMN-Music for starting it and being so thorough.
I was investigating and finally found that the latency was happening for me when using the listen bus.

Only when I started a new song (session). If you watch the video you'll see the example of an old song opened in v8 which doesn't have latency, then a new song with the data imported which does have the latency. And to double check, a new song with only a rendered metronome track which shows the same problem.

When you're using plugins wiht small latency you may not notice the fault (my IDSound plugin has 17m latency which I only picked up on using the rendered metronome check against the 'live' click in v8).

I've sent a support ticket to the chaps at Presonus (Fender). As pointed out here it seems like some older problems have crept back in with the new version.

For now I'm sticking with v7

I'm sorry, but I think you'll have the same problems in v7. At least I had...

...test test test. Oh, you are right OFS. I didn't expect that. But here's the twist; when I have the old song ( I show i the video) it doesn't have the latency on the listen bus! That suggests that there's something baked into the song file from the older version of SO when it did work. (perhaps before the listen bus was introduced even.)
I'm looking the song history folder and see it was first made in version 3.5 - many moons ago, with other backups from v4.6 and 5.4.
