Here's the problem:
For some reason, SO is no longer rendering the automation for the Dune 3 ModWheel in a fairly large project. It's only rendering about the first part of a 4:03-minute clip.
SO did render it correctly in the same project before. If I open a new, empty project, SO renders the same automation without any problems. I've tried everything because I previously had a problem with MIDI events on two other tracks in earlier versions. After stretching them, the MPE data wasn't rendered to the end, and after restoring them to the instrument track, the MPE data for the last third of the events was missing. Unfortunately, the bug that caused the automation for send levels, etc. (a known bug from before) to disappear after restoring to the instrument track has also reappeared.
I've tried deleting and re-adding the instances, toggling MPE on and off, and trying different saving methods.
If I mix the track without transforming it, the automation isn't written either. The project originally started in Studio One 4 and has since been updated to versions 5, 6, and 7. Is it possible that an old bug (loss of automation after restoring to the instrument track) could have crept in via the song file? Could excessive computer load also be responsible for the problem with Dune 3? What causes the bug with the MPE data?
Since the "Import Song Data" function froze, I tried disabling VST3 support and importing the song data. This worked, however, I get the following message in the window when I try to restore the instrument track:
The send-level automation no longer disappears, but the automation for the modulation wheel still isn't rendered.
If I create a completely new track in the project and transform it to audio and then back again, I now get the error message every time. This wasn't the case before.
