Automation Fine Editing

You know how you can set, limit, scale, compress, etc. velocity in the editor for a recorded track? Is there any way to do this for other controllers, such as Mod Wheel, MPE pressure, etc?

Also, is there a way to select these data points without selecting an entire range, just say data points below or a above a certain level (without clicking on them individually?

Yes. I think I get what you want. piano roll yes? I will try to add some images for clarity. besides velocity nodes in piano roll, you see there are more tabs at the bottom for other parameters...

You can add many more tabs as well as more showing on the screen.
To add more data tabs, click the "..." in the top left corner as in this pic...

Add or remove the automations you want to see.

You can use a pencil to draw a line across the data nodes using the pencil tool... top of the pianoo roll. I use the "line" and you can quikly level a bunch of nodes or make fades for example...

To select ranges of notes, sertain lengths, frequencies.... Click the arrow tool in the paino roll, then RIGHT click a note in the graph area, and then choose |Select Notes" and then you can select a broad range of specific notes easier than clicking one at a time..

I do hope this helps and was what you were looking for. I am no expert but have discovered this recently.

Thank you Jessika, that is helpful. I knew a lot of that but a few things in those menus that you pointed out I missed.

However, I was looking for something just a little bit different. For example, if I choose the "Modulation" tab in the automation lanes:

I was hoping that choices similar to what is available for the notes themselves would be available for the controllers, in this case Modulation. For example, with note velocity you can add, multiple or set values across the entire range of the event. For quantizing notes, you can set a range and strength. For the above Modulation curves/points, it would be great to be able to set a minimum or maximum across the entire event, or add or subtract, or multiply by a certain amount, or even compress the curve so that it doesn't swing quite as widely. This would be so useful for modulation, things like MPE pressure, etc, and would be consistent with the interface in general.
