Automation broken in v8

Yesterday when I did a mixdown of a v7 track in v8 after doing dome tweaking, I realised that some automation is not activating when doing a mixdown. This morning, one of my multi-instrument synths' filters did not work even when not doing a mixdown. When I reloaded the session, it worked again. When I did a mixdown again, the filter on my one synth started out fine but then stopped changing for the rest of the mixdown.

I tried a fresh project in v8, and a template created in v7 but could not replicate it. It's extremely intermittent.

I think this has something to do with macros. most of my automation I do with macros because I can set minimum and max values on them, thereby using the full scale of the automation curve.

Anyone else?

I don't and have never used macros, but my automation issues are:
1) During rendering an instrument track ('freezing' to audio) sometimes automation is ignored
2) Even worse - trying to revert a rendered track that had been saved in 7.2 can result in some of the automation lanes being removed entirely

These are actually not macros but macro controls.

As @Number6 mentioned, this issue has already been discussed. A fix is on the way.
