Atom SQ and playhead positioning

Number6

I'm revisiting the Atom SQ to see if things have changed, and I've pretty much forgotten everything.

In Studio One and Atom SQ if I hold SHIFT + Dial 5 the playhead will move by one bar at a time.
I have 4 beats to a bar, I would like it to move a beat at a time (4 times shorter distance). Any ideas?
Also how do I move the playhead in fine amounts for editing?

I seem to remember having this frustration before and maybe this wasn't possible, if so that's probably why I abandoned it (my memory may have failed me however).

Thanks

(Edited for typo)

I remember going down a deep rabbit hole with the original Faderport. I wanted the FF/RW buttons to move one measure per press. I got it done, but it req'd editing the device xml file for the Faderport. Not for the faint of heart ...

I just looked at the ATOM SQ file and it is huge, so finding the correct section would require an investment of time.

If you decide to try this, make sure you keep a copy of the original file somewhere safe.

You can, of course, custom assign something like this to the assignable buttons in their User mode as I have done, seen in this image:

...arguably, not as convenient as being able to custom assign the function to the knobs if you want that fast "jog dial" functioning.
The encoder knob Shift functions are "fixed" according to the manual, and their assign-ability is otherwise limited to plugin/instrument parameters.

Yup I have the same issue with Faderport Classic too.
