Anyone have a solution for time stamped track notes?

There's so many times I'm mixing or composing and hear something on another track and I want to take a quick note so I don't forget it but don't want to take myself out of the task I'm working on. I've tried so many things like using the Lyrics Track, Track Notes and just writing in the timestamp, Google Docs/Keep, etc. but being able to quickly place a marker at a specific timestamp on a track and write a note would be a major time saver.

I doubt there's much of a workaround for this right now but curious if someone has a suggestion for something they've done in the past. Thanks!

In my workflow, I usually create empty events on the tracks and label them with a marker name (starting with "#" and using a custom color). You can double-click to insert empty events on both instrument and audio tracks (on audio tracks this results in audio parts with a chain symbol). This has been the most effective workaround for me.

As part of my Scoring Tools add-on, I’m planning to implement a "Track Marker" feature that allows jumping to the previous/next markers (i.e., events named with "#"), along with a more convenient way to insert and manage them. I’d appreciate any feedback on this idea.

Oh this is a pretty awesome work around. Thanks! And that would be a legit addition to scoring tools! Gonna try this out.

Idea for the "Track Markers" dialog:
I like that a lot!
What I'm curious about is how the markers stick. Will they stick to the event (if at all possible) or to the general timeline.
In the past I recorded some narrations that are not tied to video or another background track. When ripple editing, the markers I placed at stutters for example wouldn't move with the cuts I edited. It would be nice to use the markers on the fly for little errors with a keyboard stroke while the performer continues on. If the markers stick to the specific place in the event, it doesn't matter if you ripple edit errors out, the markers will stay at the errors (or get cut out with them).
Hope this makes sense?

The markers are regular events, so they behave like any other events on these tracks. When you use Ripple Edit and events move, these marker events will move along in the same way.

Outstanding idea IMO. Love the idea for Scoring Tools Lukas.

Like Lukas, I use a blank event over the area of the track. I color it red for visability. Done!
If I have time, I label it to what the concern is. An event over the track details where the issue is.

If I dont know what track it is, i use a marker at the proximity. If need be, label it or make it red . Done! For me, red is an indicator for an issue, or review. I'll see it instantly even the next time the song is opened.
