Hello all.
Reading many posts on GEARSPACE about QMAP for X TOUCH

however I cannot find anywhere to buy it.
Does anybody have any info..
the writers website is not reachable.
The qmap sounds great i would really like to get it

The post on Gearspace is over 5 years old and the website is no longer active...

Have you tried emailing the contact person listed in the "QMap v2" documentation?

Im thinking somebody must have this.

the more i fumble around with the Mackie script
the more i learn how adaptable it is.
But because i lack any real knowledge of how the script works (conventions/which lines affect what ? etc)
i am constantly theorising and testing, often with catastrophic results
sending me back to square one.
This QMAP seems to cover all i need.
Really hope i can find it..
 
@bassface did you have any luck finding QMAP? I've just got an xtouch for S1 and looking for the xml files to get it working like the guy demonstrated in his videos. Any help would be appreciated.
 
I had and used it for a while, but got rid of it by switching to Mac at the latest. I can remember it not working correctly after bigger S1 updates, so I doubt it will work with any recent version since it is not supported anymore obviously.
 
@danam ok thanks. I got the xtouch working but there are quite a few buttons that dont do anything and I cant seem to access plugins.
I'll have to do some more investigation on how to customise the controller with the DAW

I actually managed to get the xml file from that guys google drive. Its pretty much as he explains in his video, works great, however I cannot get the key modifiers to recognise in studio one (shift, ctrl and alt)
Its got some quirks, but for the most part it pretty cool and access to plugin parameters is going to be a game changer for me.

no, its the xml file from his youtube video.

I'm guessing the QMAP was a program that allowed you to build the xml file in a custom way. Which shouldnt be that hard to do if you have the reference for the makie protocol like this one: https://htlab.net/computer/protocol/mackie-control/MackieControlProtocol_EN.pdf

The xml file appears pretty simple, I'm going to see if I can get all the buttons working myself with that reference file.
 
yeah ive seen that one and am using a form of his XML..but its limited..
The description of the QMAP that ive read is way more extensive.. just wish i could find it.
 
honestly, I dont think your missing anything. Its pretty easy to edit the XML with a little understanding of the commands in S1 and the controls in the MCU protocol. I've setup mine pretty much ideal for what I need. Really the only thing I havnt got working are the coloured scribble strips, but that is really minor.
Hopefully one day Jurgen will create his extensions for S1 and our controllers.. that is next level!
