Hey Thanks! Woe, thats just too many steps. All my sampling (at this point of my life) goes right into Sample One. Its insanely easy with auto record.

Just heard back from my main contact (no pun intended) from NI and he is now checking into this.

Also did a quick series of tests with Komplete Kontrol specifically - and can confirm that KK does not cause this issue - as long as it is loaded with a non-Kontakt instrument or content. I loaded up Form (Reaktor based) then Diva (u-He) and finally Jun-6 V (Arturia) and did my usual quick test with each of these.

Upon addition and then removal of all these instances from an empty test track - I exited the session, then exited FSP 8.1.2 and checked Task Manager - and there were no lingering instances of Studio Pro.exe.

This is 100% a Kontakt 8.13 issue for certain.

I've just been through the full NI/InMusic troubleshooting process (I'd forgotten how long Kontakt takes to rebuild its database with 157 instruments!) and can corroborate that Kontakt is hanging despite all of the restorative methods. I don't have a source of the 8.8 version, so I'll make do with K7 for now. At least we can be sure that InMusic are fully aware of the problem and hopefully will have a solution shortly!

In discussions with NI this morning - this issue has been identified and confirmed by the Kontakt DEV team - it will be fixed in v8.1.4 which looks like it might drop today.

Test complete - on Studio Pro v8.1.3. Looks like we have ourselves a winner.

Did my usual three session tests - could not see any lingered Studio Pro.exe instances in Task Manager.

Also - bonus - v8.14 of Kontakt feels like a race horse. Fast, fluid and oddly more responsive than I remember.

Also - Komplete Kontrol also has an update this morning to v3.55 - no issues within FSP using KK with a handful of K8 instruments that I breezed thru.

If anyone else hits any snags - post them up.

I am now going to move to v8.20 and do the same later this morning.

While I was downloading and installing K and KK, the v6.2.1 update for Absynth 6 dropped. Installing now. It's great to have Absynth back. I saved the v5 installer before NI removed it from Komplete. Really happy for the dev, Brian Clevinger, but also a bit sad for myself. His other two products at Rhizomatic (Plasmonic and Synestia) seem to have taken a backseat for the time being. Plasmonic is on v1.2.7, so it's seen some updates, but Synestia is still on v1.0.0, just out of beta. I haven't noticed any problems, but I've only scratched the surface of it.

K8.14 and KK3.5.5 installed and checked out in FSP8.2. No issues so far - and no hang ups.
