Any Win11 Kontakt 8 users here?

UPDATE: If you're having similar problems to those listed here, rolling Kontakt back to v8.8.1 cleared everything up. 8.12 & 8.13 are the culprits


Having problems with K8 going zombie. Hangs all DAW applications on exit. Hangs when exiting standalone.

I've followed all of the troubleshooting suggestions at NI; registry, defaults, rebuild libs, moved libs to system drive, uninstall/reinstall ...

Nothing has cleared this up.

Anybody else have problems?

Not sure exactly. Seems like I was away for a few days, then K8 started hanging. Pulling my hair out as I use Kontakt a lot.

Standalone, Studio Pro, Reaper & FL Studio all hang. I've tried different audio interfaces and MIDI keyboards.

You not having problems gives me hope

Same here. I had some problems with early versions of v8, so I kept v5, v6 and v7 (which I hated) installed.

Especially if Windows updated to 26H2. It has the new virtual MIDI port support that caused me some problems with LoopBe and Bome, both of which I uninstalled.

Yeah, just noticed that mine has a similar anomaly - installed 14/12/2024, which is the last time I rebuilt this particular box (it's overdue for another rebuild!) - but same Build and Experience numbers as you.

komplete.db3

rename it to "old_komplete.db3

Then fire up Kontakt in standalone mode and let it rebuild it's database.
We live in hope, not saying it's gonna a fix it, but it is one of those files that can get corrupted and cause all manner of problems.

IAW an NI kb article I've actually deleted that entire folder and let it rebuild. A couple of times

Oh well,
that's my usual get out of jail card burned. looks like something deeper is going on from what is being discussed in the latest update thread.
Was worth a try tho'

K8 ver 8.8.0 here. Never an issue.
Did you relocate anything.
As a failsafe. Run Kontakt 8 as standalone. It will look for any or all related files in your library. Also run Komplete Kontrol as standalone. This will also update.
Then update your plugin manager in Studio Pro. All simple and quick fixes. Should iron things out for you.
