An Observation and a Question

Hi there,
Yesterday, I moved some VSL libraries from my desktop to an external SSD. VSL makes this process as simple as possible, however:
One of my templates had a number of instances of these libraries. After moving the samples and testing them in the VIP standalone (works as expected) I then loaded the relevant template. Both the Instruments and the tracks were removed automatically. So, I‘ll have to re-do them.

My Question is about putting Sound Variations in their own subfolders. Is it as simple as instantiating a new folder then putting the relevant class of instruments into it? E.G., Fantasy Orchestra Brass, Strings, Woodwinds, etc? Do I then move the sound variations manually in the Finder?

Thanks.

Hiya,

when you say "Finder" are you asking about the right hand Browser panel or the save option in the Articulation editor?
Hopefully you have found the answer by now, bumping it for you just in case. I'm sure someone will have the answer.

Best regards

Hi, Finder is Mac specific.
I am hesitant to create folders willy-nilly until I know what I am doing. The Babylonwaves sound variations for OPUS HO and FO are a pain to install because they need to be installed one at a time. I don't want that time wasted by making a mistake that will flush them somewhere into the ether.

Midiot me not a mac person.

I would think to have them readily available in FSP you create a test Articulation and save it whilst in the Sound Variation editor. Choose a location/Folder that suits your setup...such as a library disk.
Once FSP knows where to look, copy a couple of Articulations to that folder. FSP should find them and make them available.

This is all an assumption by me not knowing mac and it's "Finder" or if I fully understand this is what you are after.
You could test it out tho' if it's on the right track?

Best regards

PS. please substitute Articulations with Sound Variations...me, duh jargon and terminology.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try this evening. I am getting ready to go to my audiologist to get my hearing aids calibrated.
