Normally when I want to adjust where one note stops and the next one starts I highlight both notes, hold down ALT and drag at the intersection.
The cursor still changes to indicate that I'm in this (alt) mode, but both notes are moved instead of just the end & start position of the two notes.
Sometimes even a note above (and not highlighted) will move.
Very strange.
