Accenting the 1st beat in every bar

I once saw Lukas do a macro trick where he was able to select just the 1st beats in every bar with a single button press.
This way a small velocity oncrease can be applied, exactly on the main beats and nowhere else, eg, to accent dynamics in a boring section.
How's this done?
I saw Lukas demo this in a video but can't now find it (even asked chatgpt to find it for me but no luck :)
help pls.

Trying "how can i select only the downbeats in studio one" gave me a google hit. Is this for midi?

For audio tracks you can try a parallel gate, side-chaining it with a rendered metronome track. Something like that.

sorry. midi F2 view. This is where I live most days. Lukas has been such a great help, getting the studio one midi act together. Love Harmony Wizard. Always there when needed.
Accent the first beat of a bar? how?

I once created a “Select Downbeats” macro, which is part of the Music Editing Toolbar. This is probably the closest to what you're looking for (selecting the downbeat in every bar). The macro uses the “Select Notes” function, which is a bit “special” to work with.

I also developed a “Select Subdivisions” command back in 2024, but it’s still in progress and hasn’t been released yet. So the “Downbeats” macro is the closest option I can offer at the moment.

Yeah. I found the down beats one, exactly where you said it was. I'm no good at changing the argument to say "every bar or half bar. Hence my asking.
Thanks all the same for all your great stuff
Keep up the great work.
Making midi easier :)
