1810C Input woes

Anyone else seeing or has seen a significant inbalance between 5&6 or 7&8 inputs? I'm inputting a guitar FX pedal in stereo that meters as 50/50 l&R anywhere else, but on the 1810C inputs 6 & 7 are decidedly less than the matching 5 & 8. If I use 3 & 4 and visually match the gains, no problem. Just seems that 6&7 have issues.
I've rarely used them in the past but thought they might come in handy, only to see this. This is in Universal Control, by the way. So no FSP8 mixer settings are involved. Maybe just lack of use has degraded the circuitry?

Thanks!

Stereo pairs are normally 5&6 and 7&8. I'm confused as to why you're using 6&7 or 5&8 as stereo pairs. I can't check if that's an issue because...

My 1810c is in a box at the moment. I am now running an RME Fireface UCX II on my Win11 Pro machine and had to buy a 4th gen Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 for my Windows ARM Surface Pro since U.C. and the USB driver for the 1810c refuse to run on Win ARM. I really hope we get an ARM-native driver for the 1810c and others in the Studio line. I'd love to put mine back in service.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. If I use 5&6, then 6 is less signal. If I use 7&8 then 7 is the lesser signal. So comparing the two pairs, 6 & 7 are the lower signals while respectively 5 & 8 are higher. I only make this point because possibly the circuitry for 6&7 is adjacent...

Did you reverse the inputs to the 1810C and see if the result is the same?
Fx pedals on stereo generally do not output same level in both channels.

Could be a cable issue too, balanced vs. not balanced (or balanced with a broken wire). Also make sure that cables are fully inserted.

Could be a bunch of things going on here. Best check is a pure 1khz Sine Wave @ -18 dbFS sent to both channels using a reliable source.

Observe and adjust as needed. I would never use a guitar FX pedal to check balance or levels like this.

True, the guitar pedal is a poor source, but it triggered a "What's going on here?" Good idea to find a sine wave or pink/white noise test. Possible, maybe, from my Android tablet and I might get a definitive +/- decibel reading. I'll post back results.

You can generate tones right inside Studio One/Pro - there is a FX plugin that will do it for you.
