Windows 10 Freeze Up Using Version 6

I really hope somebody here can help me because this is about the 5th time this year this has happened and I can't tolerate it anymore. I'm about to give up making music.
My PC is as per my sig. It's a Core I5 with 32 gigs RAM. I've continued to run version 6 of S1 because for some strange reason ver 7 gives me multiple problems (freezing, sticking and other undesirable things which I won't go into here) so I stay on 6 which seems to give me less grief. But it occasionally freezes. And when I say freezes I mean you can move the mouse around and it will highlight what it crosses over but when you click on something for a command it does nothing and just freezes there. The dialogue box stays open and if you move to another folder/file it opens that too and just does nothing. If you go to shut it down the Shut Down box opens and just freezes in that position. This happened today again. It always seems to happen when I'm on the verge of completing a project. I called my trusted local computer tech a few weeks ago when it was working properly (which is most of the time). He set up a remote session to browse around to see if he could find anything but then he asked what program is running when this seems to happen and I said Studio One ver 6. I told him I should be running ver 7 but told him have too many problems with it. He said when something like this happens it is usually caused by another program trying to run in behind what is currently running and he suggested I ask somebody from Presonus about it and that if ver 7 is the current version I should be using that (I should but I have trouble with it. Wish I knew why). Anyway, it is currently in the frozen state. Usually if I wait several hours it will "catch up". I did a forced shut down (which I did several times before when this happened) so it's not currently running S1 but is on the Windows 10 desktop. Hoping one of the wonderful computer techs here can finally give me an answer to this. I spoke to somebody here some time ago about a different problem and he said that my Core I5 processor was to blame. I never saw anything that said Studio One would not run on a Core I5 processor and I never had this problem with the previous DAW I was using. Maybe it has nothing to even do with the DAW but my PC tech suggested I ask you about it.

I'd greatly appreciate a solution.
Thanks
John B

More details are needed...

What's the model of the Dell computer?
What drive is installed and how much space is still available?
What's specific Core i5 processor is installed?
Has the 32GB of RAM been tested?
What specific release of Windows 10 is installed?
Has it been optimized to work with a DAW?
Are you running any antivirus or malware product?
Is it capable to run Windows 11?

OK. The system unfroze and I shut it down for the day so I can't answer all of these questions now but when I get on it tomorrow I'll check the plate that has the specs and get back to you on those. The 32 gig RAM was installed in 2023 by a professional technician so I'm assuming it has been tested. The SSD is practically new as I just had it upgraded from a 1 terabyte to a 2 terabyte back in late June. He's a very competent computer tech so I'll take his word for it. Malware-I use Webroot Security and have it and Windows Defender disabled when I'm running a session. Optimization-No, I don't think it is optimized. I'm looking into it. That could be a factor. That might be why I can't run ver 7 without difficulty. Also, the last big question about Windows 11 capability: It has the capability, in fact it keeps bugging me to install it. All I have to do is push a button and it will install. My tech is heavily suggesting it and I was planning on doing just that after I'm finished with the current project I'm almost done with. My concern was always that it might slow up my system. When it's not frozen like it was today it is very fast. Ready to go in less than 60 seconds. I also used to be concerned about drive space but that is less of an issue now due to the bigger SSD.

Might doing these things solve my problem? I'll get back with the rest of the details tomorrow.
Thanks!
JB

OK. Updated info.
Processor is on uploaded pic. The Dell PC is an XPS. I remember when I ordered it in 2021 I specifically told the sales rep it was for music production and he suggested that kind of system. I downloaded an article about optimizing a PC for music software and I'm working on that.
