Solved Why does this happen?

When choosing ALL points on an envelope, either by drag-selecting or CTRL+A and then dragging up or down to move all point en masse, which is the desire, the first a last points do not come along with, as it they were not included in the selection. I then have to go in and individually erase them every time, missing the point of a "select all" edit.

Because you're dragging them down using the Range Tool. You have to click and drag one of the selected points and drag them down. This should move them all without additional automation points being added.
