Visibility and Recall

I'm noticing that if I save and recall mixer scenes it affects the visibility of tracks even though I've unchecked "Link visibility of tracks and console". Is this just not working as it should or am I misinterpreting the intent?

Can you describe further? I save and recall mixer scenes quite a bit. Other than a slight shift in position, Its not clear what you're suggesting. To me anyway, sorry. Usually a screen shot showing a comparison helps describing such things.
Keep in mind, unless there is some bizarre anomoly, such as a blacked out screen from an old driver, or video card. It is what it is, and any such suggestions should go to the Presonus Questions site.
Thanks.

Also, please add your specs to your signature.

Sure thanks. So I created a few scenes in the mixer - each one showing a specific group of tracks in the mixer( and hiding the others). When I select a scene...it affects the visibility of tracks in the main project area.- I assume it is applying the scenes visibility filters to those tracks as well. This is where I assumed the setting "Link visibility of tracks and console) would come into play. I unchecked that setting but still...recall of scenes in the mixer appear to be affecting the visibility of tracks in the main project view. Hope that makes more sense.

It could be, and I'd be guessing with some experience from past similar questions is the track view from the arrangement where instruments apply (not audio) might be displaying different parts and are not a one to one relationship between tracks and mixer channels. That's my first guess, but I think a screenshot will cover the actual concern.

Sure, its also just possible that a recall of something substantially different from being saved quite a while ago may produce some unusual or unexpected results. For example some tracks were deleted, then recall was introduced.
Can't say more without some visual on this. Thx.

This is a known issue since version 5.0. Mix Scenes used to work the way you want it in 4.x but not anymore in any later versions.
Ah, thanks for that, Lukas. Is there any info, white paper or something that describes that recall visability no longer works as expected? Video, anything. I'd be curious and wow, that's quite a while since version 5.
Interesting. Almost baffling. Thx.
If there isn't any detail on it, understood. Or, related info might be vanished from the old forum. Too bad.

I can’t give you any more details, except that it was reported in 2021 when version 5.0 was launched, and that PreSonus is aware of the request for mix scenes to be usable solely for mixer visibility management, without affecting track visibility.

Ok, good to know for future inquiries or discussions. Thank you.
