Timing Issue

What am I doing wrong? 20 projects so far and this is the first I ever had this issue. I want to move audio files originally created in MIDI to another project with the same tempo and time signature. When I move it to the new project the timing is off by at least 1/2 beat. Can anybody help me please?

OK since you asked
When I transferred the MIDI files to audio I didn't have the time markers open far enough so the resulting WAV files didn't sync. I had to re transfer the files. Nothing wrong with the DAW, just my competence.
