Solved Studio One 6 - High Frequency Noise on Exported Stems

Just Don't Quit

New member
In Studio One 6, I have a recording project and export stems into my mix/master project. On each of the tracks, there's high frequency noise that is not present on the tracks in the recording project. There are no effects on the master bus. Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

Here's an screenshot of Neutron 4's EQ on one of the tracks after export and import.

SOLVED: Asked the same question over on Reddit and someone suggested I turn off dithering, which did kill the introduced noise. They also indicated I would need to turn dithering back on for the final printing of the master.

Hey, thanks for the response. That thread definitely explains a lot of the components: what dithering is and specifically where this is coming from in Studio One. That said, it's odd that I'm actually not downsampling: I record and export at the same bit-depth. I guess I just have to remember to turn dithering on for the final print.
