Splice Integration

Sorry if I'm asking something already covered ages ago! I recently upgraded from Studio Artist and cannot get Splice Integration to work. When I drag a section of song into the splice 'search with sound' window it curates samples as expected. But as soon as I try to preview them or drag them into my session I am met with a demand to sign up to a free trail? I didn't think I had to do this?

Not a smooth experience, unfortunately. And the description from the video doesn't work as expected.

1. Yes, you can click on the "Try free" button in the top right corner.
2. Then you are redirected to your browser with a screen "create your new account"
3. In the background (!) the Studio One Browser changes to a "Connect this device in your web browser" and an 8-character device code plus "Connect device" button
4. Instead of creating an account, I can click on the "Connect device" button and are (again) redirected to my web browser where I'm asked to confirm the 8-character code.
5. When I click "Confirm" I'm (again) redirected to 2.: Create a new account.

I gave up. I don't want an account, and the connectivity to Splice without an account is seemingly broken.
