Separating Stems Splits Hat in Two

I have an old song that I want to tighten up, so I ran the Separate Stems command on it. The song begins with a simple hat thing that got separated into the Drums and Other tracks. They sound fine when played together, but neither can stand alone and be convincing.

I split the hat thing from the rest of the audio on both tracks. Now, is there a simple way to mix or combine these two audio events on a single track?
