I wanted to report a strange issue. I have an Impact LX25+ MIDI keyboard. It has been functioning well until the past couple of days. two days ago, I noticed during startup, that Studio One would not connect to the keyboard (there was a symbol next to it). I would take the same .song files that had virtual instruments (Presence, etc) and when i pressed a key on the keyboard, it would not play the virtual instrument. I checked an online midi monitor and confirmed that the keyboard was correctly sending midi information. Therefore, it was not a keyboard or USB issue. I tried adding/removing the keyboard several times in Options - configure external device. but every time the same result, it was as if the midi was being blocked. Although i didn't want to do this, i went into PRogram Files/PreSonus/Studio One 7, and deleted the "devices" folder. I don't use any other external device, so although i didn't want to take the "nuclear" option, I thought this was the last resort. After restarting studio one, and changing nothing else, I was able to then receive midi from the keyboard.
I don't know what could have changed. I updated to 7.2.3.108761 on Dec 5. I didn't notice any particular erratic behavior after updating. I installed some UJAM plugins between Dec 5 and about two days ago, but they also worked with the midi keyboard just fine. It was just a sudden complete dropout within the past day or two.
Has anyone else experienced this?
