I often need to detect tempo on tracks that aren't perfect to the click. Most times those tracks breathe more naturally as they are.
So after I do a tempo detection on a wav and drag the track to the tempo track to reflect the tempo changes, I can then save the tempo change information along with the wav by checking "record tempo information to audio files".
If I then drop that wav into a new session, and then drag the new track into the tempo track of the new session, it changes the tempo track to reflect the changes like it should. So I know that the tempo information actually is being saved in/with the audio.
My question is:
Is the ability to read the tempo info saved in the audio something that's proprietary to only Studio Pro?
I'm hoping to make this work with BIAB, but if it's designed to only work in Studio Pro I'm already dead in the water. If there's a possibility that it's using a format that potentially CAN (should?) be read by other programs, there might be some hope even if BAIB can't do it today.
Thanks
