So my new album came out today and is called Pleasant Memories. It's on all the streaming platforms (and my Bandcamp - https://gregghart.bandcamp.com/album/pleasant-memories )

It was made in Studio One Pro 7. (I started working on it the day Studio One Pro 7 was released).

I've been using Studio One since version 3 after Cakewalk "went out of business." (Before any of us knew there would be a bandlab, etc.). I was ready for a major DAW upgrade and my sales rep at Sweetwater had been talking to me about Studio One saying that there are people converting from ProTools to it. He absolutely loves Studio One, so he convinced me, and I'm glad he did. It's been a dream to work with for me. I love the workflow. I love that it's not got that 'clutter' look that so many other DAWs have.

Anyway, while not all the instruments are Studio One (several are), it was recorded, mixed and mastered in Studio One. As far as instruments go, I use a LOT of Native Instruments stuff (both OEM and 3rd party) as well as Roland, Quiet Music and a few others. Studio One does such a great job of hosting all of that as well.

Hi Gregg, Let me be the first to congratulate you on your album release "Pleasant Memories"!
I've only heard the first two songs so far, and I enjoyed the piano melodies. Particularly on track two, "Stroll through the Park". Wonderfully laid back, and gives a feeling of reflection. Well, with me it did. : )
I'm not familiar with the genre chillout, so to speak. I still think in terms of New Age, so I'm probably giving away my age, lol. But the term, certainly fits and I was thoroughly chilled.
I'll check out the rest of the songs later. I just wanted to provide a quick kudos, because I happen to like when people in the forum here actually create a full song, and even better an album they've actually put together.
Lovely, if I may say so.
James
