Persistent search terms

I'm currently on Studio One 5 Pro, and something that annoys me is when I search for an effect (like "delay" for example), every time I go back to audition a different delay plugin, I have to type "Delay" again. Is there a way around that? In Reaper, the last searched term persists, but is highlighted so if you want a different term, all you do is start typing and the original term is replaced. This seems most intuitive to me.

Were there any changes to this behavior in version 6 or 7? I've already run the demo for 7, and didn't think to check this.
Thanks

Are you adding it as an Insert, Send or FX?
I'm not aware of any changes for this in Studio One 6 or 7.
What I do is copy (Ctrl C) what I'm searching for to cache and pasting (Ctrl V) to avoid having to retype it.

Typically adding as an insert. Thanks for the info.

Studio One 7 does have folders in the plugin insert menu - so if you navigate to that folder, all the delays are together and it remembers where you where when you go to insert another plug.
Not what you asked for (which I agree would be useful) but a possible workaround.
Not sure when this feature was added, so you may have it already in SO5.

As I recall, its been the same search field in v5, 6, and 7 with no changes. Its a nice idea just the same, having search remember the last few entries. As mentioned, you can opt to go to the folders menu. Even create favorites.

On the flipside, I simply type "del" and I'll receive any plugin pertaining with "del" in the name. This brings up NI delays like Raum, Lexicon, as well as the three Presonus delays, etc. So search is really quite instant, from what I've found.
"com", "lim", "chor", "pha", and so on.

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I definitely need to organize my plugins better. I figured out that I should be using the FX browser more for these types of plugin auditioning, instead of clicking the + on a channel insert. The search term stays there as long as you leave the browser window open. Works great!
I may be on an old version of Studio One, but I'm relatively new to the app. Still learning.
