mixdown selection or ghost record does not null with original bus in v6.6.4 - should it?

mixdown selection or ghost record output files do not null with the parent bus they are based off of. they null with each other however. it seems high frequency content is missing in outputted files.

i have posted a video you can see here describing this - is there something i am missing, or is my test flawed? if this should not happen - anyone with v7 or v8 can comment if it happens in those versions too?
