Missing Clipping-Flag in StudioOne 7

Hello together

Since I updated from StudioOne 6 to 7, I'm missing the red Clipping-Flag in the input and output section... Is there any option to activate this? or a plugin or something?

Why i need this:
I'm not a professional. I would say, i'm an absolute noob in using a DAW.
For my Records i ask the band to play their loudest song. If i see the red clipping-flag in StudioOne, i reduce the Input-Level of the mic, reset the flag and ask the band to repeat. until the flag didn't go red, we repeat this procedure...
maybe you will ask me to use limiter and compressors for this, but here are 3 reasons against:
1. I'm a noob. I don't know how to use these plugins. I don't have the time or the will to learn it. And ultimately, I don't charge for the recordings.
2. My hearing is bad. I need an optical indicator for this.
3. The band wants it that way. The recordings should reflect exactly what resonates with the audience. They will hear their full dynamic range...
So you see, what i'm able to do, matches the requirements of the band...
Thanks in advance!

For me, the clip counter still is working as expected in v7. I don't know, nor have I found, a way to disable that function.
By the way, you're having the right approach on adjusting the input gain. A recorded clipping signal cannot be "unclipped", that distortion will be baked into the file. Does your interface have a metering function? Most do at least have a clipping LED to tell you your incoming signal is too hot..

Thank You for your answer!
OK, i will check this tonight and will return again...
I use the audiobox usb. There is a clipping indicator, but it is analog. If i have a very little clip, the LED barely lights up and i can't see it. And it is only a snapshot. In StudioOne, the indicator locks, until i release it manually...

Slightly off topic, but I wish there was a key command to reset the Clip Counter...

Wouldn't that be a bit like a mute button for the fire alarm?
Hehe, yeah it could be, but once I've got the message I don't need to see it any more. I have a key command to clear it in Logic (which I hardly ever work in now), and miss having it in Studio One.

Good evening everybody
So, first, i have to say sorry for the misinformation: i upgraded from v5 to v7, not from v6 to v7.
Then have i looked again for my missing clip-indicator. got it! Ifound it in the mixing console. That's great, I can manage with that. the indicator for the main out was already there. I didn't see it, because I had no clipping. shame on me, sorry for that.
The reason, why i started this thread, is, because i'm missing the clip indicator in the track section. i've attached a picture. Top is v7, bottom is v5. as you can see, on the right side, over the level meter, in v5 was the clipping-indicator. In v7, this is removed... but now i know that it can be found in the mixing console, so we can close this thread.
Thanks for the support & cheers!
