Locking Mixer/Editor Window to another display

Hey all,

Been researching and find a lot of info about detaching and moving the Mixer or Note Editor window to another display. However, I'm looking for a function to lock the window to the display in full screen mode when switching between the two. Sometimes, and this is force of habit from switching on a single screen, I'll accidentally pressed the F3 while the mixer is displayed on the second display. This closes it, and when I reopen it, it pops up on my main screen. Trying to break the habit, but this was years in the making and wonder if there was an option I'm missing to set the window to the second display permanently.

Any suggestions?

Win10 here. The console window opens on whichever display it was last opened on for me when pressing F3

Are you running on a Mac? Maybe Mac functions differently

Win11 here; 4 monitors.
Arrange (main) on 1,
Edit (full screen) on 2,
Mixer (full screen) on 3,
plugins & miscellaneous on 4.

If I save a song file or template in this configuration, it will consistently reopen the same every time.
If I work with only 2 monitors (rarely) it gets a bit tricky, but the Mixer & Edit can both be on mon2 in full screen, one at a time.

Ahh shoot. Thanks guys, but I'm on a Mac lol! Should have mentioned that earlier. The behavior you guys are stating is what I had expected to happen. But ya know, its those little things that can make all the difference. Just gotta break the habit I guess.

This would be worth verifying with other Mac users and submitting a ticket.

A work-around would be to de-assign F3, or to reassign it to something benign. Then your twitchy F3 finger wouldn't cause trouble.

Mine *always* opens up in the same screen and I am on Mac. I use an iPad running sidecar and put my mixer in that and it's been pretty reliable. Item placement does get a bit unpredictable when I'm running a screen + two iPads, but that's usually during the final stages of the mix so I'm not bothered by it.

I like the suggestion to re-assign F3 to something that doesn't do anything.

@Lowtone - Yes, that's an easy solution for "I'll accidentally press the F3"...
