Lightweight Mouse

My son is visiting me at the moment and he has put me onto the concept of a light weight mouse. I have a Logi MX Master 3S and love it. I love the button control you can place over Studio Pro for example. But he has given me this VXE R1 gaming mouse. It communicates via a USB receiver and it feels amazingly fast and precise. It feels better than Bluetooth. The weight difference is quite obvious. The Logi mouse is 142 grams but the VXE is 48 grams. It makes editing much easier. Where there is a lot of mouse movement in your workflow, this really lightens things up and it feels wonderful.

The concept is you can use both. The Logi mouse is great for mixing with both wheels making it easy to scroll in both directions etc. And you switch to mixer and browser view also so easily. I can start and stop the session. The VXE lacks a lot of those extra functions but in areas of your workflow where you spending a lot of time doing just one thing, eg editing its really a game changer. The thing with the light weight mouse is the battery is much lighter so you need to charge it every few days but it is quick at that though. The Logi mouse can go for three months before it needs charging again.

I also use a giant mouse mat and once you get into these there is no going back either. There are some great things out there which can speed up and make our workflow feel nicer. The VXE mouse is also very affordable too. $25 in some outlets.
