Solved Invisible MIDI automation

New member
I was trying to add sustain pedal automation onto a track and I thought it wasn't working. But it was!

It turns out that, in the default appearance colours, the automation line is drawn as a thin black line onto the very dark grey background. By significantly lightening the "arrangement luminance" in the options, I can now see the black line against a light grey background. Have I missed any option to be able to change the drawn line to (e.g.) white so that it shows up in the default appearance?? Or is the default just a poor choice if you want to see automation?

Strangely, in the "View Part Automation" section of the help, the illustration shows a coloured (blue-green) line - not black. So surely there must be a setting to control this somewhere!

Thanks. That is very nearly it. The automation lane for part automation doesn't have its own color box, but the automation line uses the color of the track, which I can set by the color box of the track and also at the top of the editor inspector.

So now I can revert to the default appearance, which is what I prefer.
