Solved Help Finding My Perpetual License After Studio One+ Subscription Ended

Hi there,

I purchased a one-year Studio One+ subscription, which ended yesterday. I was expecting to receive a perpetual license, but I haven’t received any email, and I couldn’t find it on my.presonus.com.

Could someone please let me know where I should normally find the perpetual license?

Thank you in advance!

I'm guessing, but I'm not sure and don't know how to check, that your licence will be added to your account. While the pro+ will not be active any more, the account is still valid and i guess that will have the license added. Can you log on in Studio One/Activation using your accounts credentials?

Following.

I too would love to know how this works - but have never been able to pin down what happens when someone's sub ends - with no renewal. I have had many a folk ask me about this - but cannot provide a definitive answer.

If the OP can document what he sees on screen from S1 (Any errors or messages about no license?) Or anything in his MyPresonus Account as of today - that would be most appreciated.

I will venture a guess that there will be no magic email or notification or anything like that.

And maybe this may be super simple - like no "perpetual" license process at all. Maybe the OP simply fires up S1 and carries on with that version of S1 - with no further references to any further updates for that copy of S1.

It says "Status: Active" at the top, although my remaining time shows as -2 days.

I suppose I just need to wait. Studio One is still working, and within the DAW it says it will check the One+ license again in 4 days (connecting to the server to verify the license).

My concern is that Studio One might stop working at some point. That’s why I’m curious about how and when I’ll receive the perpetual license.

You could check if you still have access to the online space (for backups etc) or to plugins / addon stuff that is part of the plus subscription but definitely not of the perpetual license. If anything except for the core DAW stopped working, then this is the perpetual mode. But I’m just guessing…

This is not a good look - showing status Active and "-2" days left etc.

You would think computers and the Presonus site would be able to do simply math and display it correctly.

At 12:01:01am (local time) - this is all that should be displayed:

Maybe they've implemented a "grace period" hoping OP will get anxious and re-subscribes?

Well - if that is the intent - I cannot think of a worse way to communicate that then showing this weird dialog. Especially the "-2 days"

What does that even mean?

(removed - not accurate. Correct answer below)

Update:
It looks like there’s a kind of grace period. Today, the status changed to "Expired", and I saw a prompt suggesting I purchase Studio One+.

However, under the Product section for Studio One 7, a license key has now appeared. In Studio One, you need to select "Studio One Activation" and manually enter the product key. I now have a "fallback key".

I still haven’t received any email with instructions, but fortunately, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out on my own.

You won't get any instructions, at least I didn't.

Hey Guys,
I am not sure if I am alone on this one because for some reason, up until now, I haven't received my Perpetual license.
I paid for the Studio One Pro+ Plan last year (2024) with the hope of getting a Perpetual license in 2025 but seems I might have been skipped by Presonus.
I was waiting to maybe receive a license in my email or something, since May 2, 2025 (giving the benefit of doubt), but no show.
If I open Studio one now, it tells me to activate the software.
I downgraded back to Studio One 6 and it keeps forcing me to use StudioOne Prime.
All I see on the studio one page is this (screenshot attached)

Please any help pointing me in the right direction will be really appreciated right now because I can't even successfully open the app any more.

Thanks

Hi @Trucky,
Thanks for responding.
I already opened a ticket almost 48 hours ago. I haven't gotten any response yet (I think because its a weekend) thats why I decided to post on here.
I guess I'll just wait and see if I get some feedback on a workday.

Thanks again.
