Ya it used to always snow here on Halloween. It was fun handling out candy and watching the game. Even though the game got boring.
At least the result gives us another game tonight!
Lots of kids were in Blue Jay costumes.

Well congratulations to the LA Dodgers for their repeat as WS Champs. Yamamoto is a MACHINE - but they wore him into the ground and he seemed to not be able to throw a strike. (Let him rest FFS!) Blue Jays better rested relievers Hoffman and Bieber gave up HR's when they couldn't, and that was the ball game. What a great series, and great game 7. The Blue Jays made me proud as a long time fan, and they redeemed themselves in my view compared to the last two years of fan purgatory. Next year!

Is Hallowe'en supposed to be happy? As far as I recall, in Christian (and preceding pagan) religion it's about remembering the dead, and has since in its secular form transitioned to becoming a celebration of all things Horror! Not least of which is Trick or Treat, an abominable American 'tradition' which terrorises suburban neighbourhoods into either upping sticks and decamping to somewhere warm and ignorant of such practises, or locking up every door, closing the curtains and turning off anything that could suggest occupancy.

Fortunately, I live in the English countryside in a very small community that has no young children, and I have a pub next door that studiously avoids any mention of the event. Although they have threatened to cause my thatched home to burn down with their fireworks on Bonfire Night... ;)
