Gain Automation Envelope not applying?

Hey gang, I have a project in 6.6.4 where the Gain Envelope curve adjustments only apply after the envelope's dedicated bypass button (beside the check box) has been toggled.

Wondering if 7.x possibly acknowledge/fixed this or if it's just me.
