Forte Import/Export App

This only works for pro tools and logic at the moment but it looks like such a helpful tool for speeding up common workflows like session prep and detailed exports. On their site you can vote for which DAW they’re going to implement it for next. Could be cool to have a version for studio one. Or perhaps some of you experts could create a studio one script that basically does the same thing? 🤔

Legend!
It’d be great if there was an automatic file import system that intelligently sorted files based on their names and then ordered them based on user preference, then perhaps trigger some sort of macro that could colour them all by instrument group and put them in named bus folders.
With the help of AI I’ve made a Mac OS app that essentially does this by renaming files in the finder with numerical prefixes and an intelligent fuzzy matching sorting system so that when I drag them from the finder into a song they’re already in the order that I like, then I use my studio one macros for the colouring/naming/foldering etc. would be great if the whole process could be built into S1. I’ll share the app with you if that would be helpful in any way?

Another thought I had: when starting a mix I always like to normalise my events to -10 to get a nice level at the output once all faders are up but it’d be amazing if there was some way to counter balance the normalising with an automated fader move. So you can essentially retain your volume balance, whilst also ensuring healthy gainstaging. (Not sure if this makes sense…this is more of a bonus afterthought)

The other thing that would be super helpful would be an automatic export system to essentially print stems or groups of tracks through all buses and fx returns etc. basically like soloing a track and doing a mix down selection command, but have it automated for a selected group of tracks so with one command it prints all your stems at once through all buses and fx, so I can then let it run and go make a cup of tea, rather than having to sit there and mix down one track at a time.
