Fender Pro Studio Suggestions

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the transition from PreSonus to Fender, but honestly, it’s not as rough as I expected. There are a few new features I’m genuinely enjoying.
That said, there are some things I really miss and hope we see return.
Ampire, Fat Channel, Pedalboard, RC500, and VT1 still work for now through PreSonus Hub authorizations—but only until PreSonus eventually shuts that down. I really hope these plugins get migrated over to Fender, especially Fat Channel.
And please bring back Icons. If the option is listed but we can’t actually add them, what’s the point?\

Yeah, one would think Fat channel integration should remain. Its how Presonus' own Studiolive mixers (SE series Mk3 from a very recent release) work seamlessly in Studio One. If that didnt remain, it would be one cutting off their nose to spite their face. We'll have to see. Fender will either employ gee-whiz stuff to their uhem ... new 8th gen DAW, or meet the demands of both studio and live integration.

I didnt know about the non usable track/channel icons. If that is an indicator as to the care that went into this release, then that's quite scary. For instance, of all the beta testing going on prior to release, no one saw (including development) that the icons were not working? Better grab hold of something solid. Me, I just finished another song in v7 last night.

From the Pro+ forum I gathered that the PreSonus brand will be focusing on live sound (speakers, mics, mixers, ..) and thus stay alive as a brand. My conclusion is that the Fat Channel, RC500 and VT1 (as @lokeyfly mentioned) that are available on the StudioLive mixers, will therefore remain under the PreSonus brand.
Ampire and pedalboard under Fender... 🤔

Yes, makes sense. A good thing. Presonus have a very good reputation in live hardware products. So good in fact that their Studiolive Series 3 SE mixers also make for Studio capable boards as well. Great monitors, and sound reinforcement base as well.

PreSonus HUB is only req'd to use PreSonus plugs in other hosts.

Any know whether the new Fender guitar amps can be used in other DAWs?
Doubtful, other than the Fender app. However, they do make that Fender Mustang Micro that can plugin anywhere. I think that is principly the same with amp/cab models, but I'm not 100% on that.

Hilarious that the thread title got the name back to front. Proof, if it were needed, that the name change is a poor choice.

On the point of substance - I'm interested how Presonus Hub and my paid for plugins (all the FatChannel add-ons) will be integrated into the Fender plugin lineup. Having two folders of plugs - one Fender, one Presonus - doesn't make much sense, and I'm sure they'll get consolidated. Does that mean that PreSonus Hub will disappear, or will there be a new Fender Hub? (Or Fender Pro Studio Pro Fender Hub Pro).

For me it makes sense, after the statement of a Fender/ PreSonus employee in the Pro+ forum.
The PreSonus brand, he stated, will be used solely for the live sound product line (speaker arrays, mixers, ...). Since the Fat Channel, VT1 and RC500 are part of the Series III StudioLive desks, they remain under the PreSonus brand. You won't need "hub" for that, it's just another 'vendor' with native plugins for StudioPro.
Running those plugins outside the StudioPro environment requires hub..
The SE series of the StudioLive desks has only recently been introduced. I don't think they are going to abandon that product line. They also invested in the Metro function (which I think can be really interesting) and Milan certification, another clue Fender isn't some hollow investor in PreSonus, but wants to participate and develop in this market as well.
