Bus Transform

I just saw that v7.1 includes bus transform. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to get it to work on individual tracks. I have a vox track inside a folder. the track has 1 insert and a send going to a reverb bus. When I transform the vox track to audio it does not include the send. What am I doing wrong? Or is this still not possible and we still have to go the stem route?

You need to modify your routing by creating a BUS that is sent to from both the vox track AND the FX 'fader track', and then transform that summing bus. It will then contain both the vocal and the FX applied to it.

Thanks Outrage. I got it working with your instructions. That is a convoluted process and when I have 20 tracks of vocals using different fx busses for each track that process will be quite time consuming. I like putting my instruments in folders. I sometimes end up with quite a few vox tracks in a folder and when I render them down I like to keep the individual tracks not have them all rendered down to a single stereo track. Maybe I'm asking for too much.

It seems my options are to simply render the tracks down and keeping the busses. Or placing the tracks in folders dependent upon which fx busses they are being sent to and transforming the summing bus down to a stereo track or mixing down individual tracks and importing the new files into my project.

Wait, so you want to render the track with the insert and have the fx you’ve assigned to it be on a bounced stereo track, correct? But only one track at a time, not every track in the folder at the same time?

The command you want is Mixdown Selection. You have to select the regions, not the channel, and it will render whatever you highlight and any insert, bus effect, and effect you have it processed with. You can select multiple regions, multiple tracks, or just one. I don’t believe it has a shortcut assigned to it, so you’ll have to do that! It’s so handy.
