Audio turning distorted very often.

After every minute the audio playback in studio one becomes crunchy and totally distorted. I have a band aid fix where I change the block device sample but it only helps for a couple of seconds and is extremely cumbersome.

Does anyone here know a permanent solution to this?

Sounds like a (clock) sync'ing problem. You have to provide more info about your system (computer, OS, interfaces, other audio apps) to get more useful answers than this. And at least make sure that all drivers are up to date and that all your (audio) apps are happy with your system specifications.

Yes, only it starts with you specifying what you're actually using. Add your equipment, OS, and platform to your sig, along with any relevant details.
Also check your CPU meter at the bottom left of the transport bar. Open it, view all plugins, sort by CPU usage and observe plugin drain on the CPU.
