Arturia Plugins and MPE?

Number6

I've got a Seaboard M, also a Roland A300, both support aftertouch.

In Studio One I can get Roli Studio Player working without issue.
I have issues with MPE on Arturia plugins however.

Note Seaboard M controller and A300 has MPE enabled in devices, and I've proven it's working with other MPE plugins.

When I start say the Arturia Jupiter 8 plugin, I enable MPE in two different areas, firstly the dropdown where the title of the plugin is displayed (a Studio One feature) and secondly in the advanced section of the plugin itself (MPE slide).

BTW Options, Advanced, Automation, Reduction Level is set to 0%

To make things a bit clearer (maybe), I've done a (not very good) YouTube video.

I guess I'm missing something?

This is a rough outline of what might get you going.
I have the Arturia CS-80 V which is similar, by setting up a CC lane I can get the CS-80 to respond to drawn data

Try a pluck type sound rather than a configured arp patch and play some triads whilst Sliding one finger on the Roli whilst recording a Midi clip.
What is recorded in the CC lanes in the clip?

Is there an "Arp rate" CC lane being recorded with data?
If yes, then by messing with the Vst GUI Arp controls it should respond?
Mess with On/off, Sync buttons etc.,

Note.
I had set all the MPE settings as required. You may get timing conflicts if sliding more than one finger!!!
I did not use an MPE keyboard.

Best regards

I've tried basic notes with say a filter control, single finger, no dice. The cc lane procedure you mentioned is a good idea, I will try that (not got as far as recording). Thanks.

BTW midi monitor shows everything working as it should.

If Midi monitor is showing the CC for slide ( cc74 ? ) and you can record some data you can then mess with the Vst itself at your liesure.
The CS-80 V has different speed setting Hertz, Unsynced, Synced etc., Plus have you noticed in your video it looks like the Arp is switched Off ?

If you have some recorded material try and concentrate on the Vst instrument itself, it looks like you have the MPE settings sorted.

I don't have an MPE keyboard here at the mo' so my test was with hand written data using CC 74 via an "unsynced slide" which I added as a controller lane, hope that makes sense.

Anyway hope you give it a try and it gets you moving forward.

Best regards.
