Adding a guitar harmony to a melody

Is there a good video tutorial out there showing how to make a chord track from a rythym track then make a harmony from a lead guitar track. Also a video on enhancing real drum tracks with midi or loops using transients?

. He is using midi. Not sure if that is what you are after.
For your other stuff search Youtube for Presonus feathering Gregor and / or joe Gilder for bend markers / bend tool.
your drums certainly can be enhanced with like Impact (gregor as video for this). I use EZ Drummer 3 so I don't mess
with Impact to much 👀 🖖

I know it works for midi I am curios if one can copy a wave and then transpose it use the chord feature like maybe with Melodyne??
I am pretty sure you can with Melodyne if you have the proper version of Melodyne. Be sure to turn off any effects on that channel
before analysing. Depending on context you may or may not need to weed out the excess notes that Melodyne may create. If it's a clean guitar probably show up much cleaner than a dirty guitar. Select all the notes Melodyne created and move then up or down for the new chord. You may need melodyne editor for this.

To transpose chords in Melodyne 5, select the notes or the entire clip, then use the Chord Track and Chord Grid features to snap notes to the pitches of the target chord or scale, or individually transpose them by dragging them up or down in pitch. For overall key changes, edit the Chord Track, which then applies the new chord progression when notes are snapped to the Chord Grid or when individual notes are transposed.

Using the Chord Track and Chord Grid (for polyphonic material)
This method is ideal for transposing entire sections of polyphonic audio (like a guitar chord) to fit a new key or chord progression.

  1. Open the Chord Track:
Make sure the Chord Track is active in Melodyne 5.

  2. Select Notes:
Select the notes or the entire polyphonic audio clip you want to transpose.

  3. Set the Grid to Chord Grid:
In the Melodyne display, switch to the Chord Grid view. This changes the background to show pitches that belong to the current chord (white) versus those that don't (gray).

  4. Enable Chord Snap:
Click the "Chord Snap" option to have notes automatically move to the pitches within the white lanes.

  5. Transpose the Chord Track:
You can now transpose the Chord Track itself (the chords at the top) by editing the chord names. As you step through the chords, Melodyne will map the selected audio notes to the new chord pitches, effectively transposing your audio to the new key.

I think I follow. My thinking was to analyze the rythym guitar for chords then use that chord track to transpose a copied guitar melody line. Does the v7 Pro version include the Melodyne editor? Looks like it in the video tutorials.

Does the v7 Pro version include the Melodyne editor?
No, it includes Melodyne Essential which normally costs $99.
The upgrade from Melodyne Essential to Melodyne Editor normally costs $299.

Trucky is correct, you will need the Editor version to do Polyphonic. I have the Studio Version which is great but more money than
Editor. If you thought you were going to want to edit several vocals for Instance "Studio Version" is good for that as multiple tracks
can be seen / edited in the same window 🎤🎧🎹

So if I am just doing individual notes not chords I should be ok with essentials correct?
i would think so in most cases. you may want to check on Celemony's website to make sure
of the limitations 👀

And be sure to check their commercial newsletter. They have great update offerings every once in a while. I've updated my Melodyne over time, tier by tier. That saves a lot of money.

An update may be appropriate after This figure out what and how of what is already installed.
it's easy to find what you have. Go to applications and open the Melodyne Folder. Double click on the 2 melodyne
blobs, the standalone version will come up. Now click the Melodyne tab in upper left of menu bar then click "About Melodyne"
In the window that opens look in the bottom right of window. Mine tells me I have Melodyne Studio 5.4.2
It that what you are looking for?
