What are your favorite Studio One features?

Wow I just saw that you can add your favorite Studio One features to the profile. So I thought why not make a thread and everyone can post their favorite features. Perhaps there are things that others are not aware yet.

3, 2, 1, here we go!

For me it's the Splitter and the new Atmos integration with surround panner in the S1 Remote app. Such great tools and a joy to use.

What are yours?

Track Presets and the Video Track. Scoring to picture has become so much easier. I have also created a number of social media posts and virtual instrument preset playthroughs entirely within Studio One, and it has been so much fun.

Track Presets and "drag event to Browser and watch it convert to WAV on the fly - then right click on it and Send to Batch Convertor". I cannot really quantify how cool this is for my voiceover work.

And of course my custom macros which simply could not be recreated in any DAW anywhere.

Same here. When I first started I tried all the DAWs and none of them would accept to drag and drop a VST into the arrangement track. I then tried Studio One as a last resort and everything was super intuitive and easy. No need to read a manual to insert a VST or to create a send.

I really like the ability to create custom macros. I left pro tools at version 9, used since version 5, and tried out studio one 2. The ability to select all the tracks I want and send them to a bus with plugins already inserted and presets selected with a simple keyboard command that I assign *blew me away.* PT had nothing of the sort and while I still use PT for editing, I will never go away from S1 for mixing. The workflow is just too good.

Harmonic editing. The #1 reason I switched. Awesome for songwriting.
Splitter. Handles my multiband processing addiction.
FX Chains and Track Presets.
Project page. The synergy with the Song page is unique.

My favorite Studio One features are largely still the one's I first used from version 2, from it's seamless drag & drop, to integration of Melodyne and ARA technology to the tightly integrated Project page.

From there on, additions through the years such as event gain, track presets , and channel splitter simply made Studio One that much better. Video, chord, and arrangement tracks have also been complimentary additions.

Enter version 7, with the integrated clip launch, I will certainly find uses for (and have). Stem separation will be handy at times as well.

I'm enjoying this DAW, and I can't forget the use of macros which have really made the workflow even more seamless. I think all in all, Studio One's single screen layout (unless portions are undocked) really make for an elegant design. It's been and continues to be an awesome DAW, for me.

The features are there when you need them, if you need them. Nothing gets in the way.
