Hi all:
First post. Been using S1 Artist V3 and V5 since 2016, but just picked up S1 Pro 7 during the Xmas sale. Don't consider myself a power user, but I have been using DAW and video NLE software for many years. Experience with Protools up to 9, Nuendo up to 4, Samplitude up to 8, all the way back to the old SAW program in the 90's.
I have looked, but I can't seem to find a command/key combo to move the play/edit cursor only 1 grid unit at a time, like a single frame, if the timebase is set to frames. I see the 'Forward/Rewind' and 'Forward/Rewind Bar' commands, but nothing else. Other software has this - right/left arrow on DaVinci Resolve, and programmable via actions in Reaper. I find this a curious omission, since all the other item Nudge, Goto and Spot commands exist. Forward/Rewind Bar moves the cursor a bar at a time (at whatever tempo is set) no matter what the timebase is set to.
Is there some way to implement a macro to do this, or has someone done this already? Or am I out of line for asking for frame timings/movement in a bar/beat based program? This is sort of related to audio post or composing to picture work.
Feel free to move this to the Macro section if this is in the wrong place.
Thanks, Larry
