Solved Unable to Align Cursor to Timeline

Not sure if my title explains what the problem really is. Here's a picture:
1738964394559.pngThis is as close as I can line up the cursor to the bar markers on the timeline. The image shows snap to frames, but it doesn't matter what the snap setting is -- the misalignment is always there, and always the same amount (visually anyway). Same with the quantize setting and the timebase -- those settings don't address this little offset, or whatever it is. I first saw this when I opened a "New Song" with a template I created, but I have since opened a completely blank New Song, and the problem persists. I only have one completed song in S1, and this problem doesn't show up there.

Any ideas where I should look to correct this? Thanks!

EDITED TO ADD: OK, false alarm (sort of)! I went back to the Studio One "home screen" and changed customization from "complete" to "basic," and when I opened a new song the offset had gone away. So I can work, but I still wonder why "complete" customization seems to cause this. What is it doing? Anybody?

Frames are for film. You’ll want to snap to bar, if I’m not mistaken. If you want to use frames, changes your timebase to frames.

I mentioned in my original post that it doesn't matter what the snap setting is. Thanks for chiming in. The problem is sort of solved for now, but I'm still wondering what part of "complete customization" causes this.

I don't know if this answers your question, but because I do audio-for-video work, Bars is often the Timebase (primary ruler) and Frames is the secondary Ruler. Under those conditions, if I choose Bars or Quantize for Snap, the cursor snaps to the primary ruler. If I choose Frames, the cursor snaps to the secondary Ruler.

The only change I made to "fix" this is below. The picture on the left gives me the offset ruler error; the picture on the right does not. If you're viewing this on a phone the pix are probably stacked vertically, so. . . "Complete" customization leads to the error (and none of the timebase or snap settings have any effect) - "Basic" customization makes the timeline and cursor position act normally. Some day I'll try to figure out exactly which part of the "complete" customization causes this issue. For now, I'm good. Thanks!

My bad. You did say that. Hope it gets resolved.

No prob! I appreciate you and all who try to help me as I bumble along. This one isn't really resolved, but I found a workaround, and for now that's good enough. Thanks!
